FAQs
How much glow in the dark pigment should I add?
Start with a small test mix of 30% pigment and 70% medium by weight. Stir gently and test on a spare surface. Adjust with more gel if needed, but do not exceed 35% pigment. Adding more won’t make the glow brighter and can cause clumping.
So how do I get a brighter glow?
More layers, not more pigment. Two or three thin coats at 1:4 beat one thick, overloadedcoat every time - and use less powder overall.
What does “bio-based” mean?
On average half the ingredients come from plants - corn, soy, sugarcane and algae -instead of from petroleum.
Why not 100% bio-based?
Liquitex say 100% is not currently possible for an acrylic that stays lightfast andarchival. Fifty per cent is the most they can do without losing that.
Does it work as well as the standard gloss gel?
Yes. Same thickness, same clear gloss finish, same 5-7 year shelf life. Use it exactly the same way.
