Liquitex Fluid Gloss Medium - Acrylic

Liquitex Gloss Medium is a liquid acrylic base for mixing your own glow paint. Choose it when you want paint that brushes on easily, builds up in thin layers and leaves a glossy finish.

Why choose this medium?

• Easy to spread: Its thinner consistency suits brushwork rather than raised textures.

• Glossy surface: Gives your finished paint a reflective finish.

• Two ways to use it: Make paint from pigment or mix it into existing acrylic paint to improve flow.

Mixing with glow pigment

Start with 30% pigment and 70% medium by weight. Slowly stir the powder into the medium until evenly mixed, keeping bubbles to a minimum.

Add more medium to loosen the mixture if needed. Keep pigment at 35% or less. Extra powder can cause clumps without making the glow brighter.

Apply thin coats over a white background, allowing each layer to dry before continuing.

Using ready-made acrylic paint?

Stir in a little medium at a time until the paint spreads the way you want. Larger amounts make the colour more see-through and the surface glossier.
