What makes gel different from fluid medium?
Gel has a thicker consistency and holds visible marks. Fluid medium spreads more easily into thin layers. Choose based on the texture you want.
How much glow in the dark pigment should I use to mix?
Mix 30% glow pigment with 70% gel by weight. Add the powder gradually and stir thoroughly until evenly mixed. Adjust with more gel if needed. Do not exceed 35% pigment adding extra powder can cause clumping without improving the glow
Can I add it to ready-made acrylic paints?
Yes. It can add body to thinner acrylic paint and reduce shine. Extra gel also lowers pigment concentration, so test the glow before using it across your project.
Why does my gel mixture take longer to dry?
Thicker layers dry more slowly than thin fluid layers. Allow extra time before adding another coat. A dry surface does not always mean the centre is dry.
